Atooko Musa, Chairperson of Fort Portal City Smart Traders (FOCSTA) and Coordinator of Uganda National Traders Alliance (UNATA), has demonstrated his commitment to sports development in the Tooro Kingdom. He supported Obukama bwa Tooro in the MTN Amasaza Cup 2025 by donating 100 cartons of drinking water to participating teams.
The donation was received by Eng. Kateeba, Minister for Education, Sports, and Youths, who then distributed the water to coordinators of each Amasaza (county). This initiative is expected to enhance team morale and contribute to the tournament's success.
Empowering Farmers with Dragon Fruit: A New Chapter forTooroAgriculture
On April 4th, 2025, the Tooro Organic Producers Association (TOPA) hosted a landmark gathering at Travellers in Fort Portal, centered around the introduction and promotion of Dragon Fruit farming in the region. The event brought together farmers, community leaders, and agricultural enthusiasts from mid western Uganda (Kyenjojo, kabarole, Kasese, Bunyangabu ,Fort portal and Kitagwenda)with the goal of diversifying income sources and enhancing sustainable farming practices.
